The author of the FAQ and Pest Briefs contained in this web site
is Robert Dyer Batman. I know the guy pretty well, he's my father.
He taught me the important things about life: that to tell the truth
is better than to lie, to treat others as you, yourself, would like
to be treated, to judge people by their actions not by their religion,
their ethnic background, the color of their skin, or their current
station in life, and he taught me the value of facts.
Some people say he's too candid; too direct when it comes to answering
customer's questions on pest control topics. I can tell you word
for word what he says about that, "I give my customers the pertinent
facts instead of salesmanship fantasies and I sleep well at night."
He practices what he preaches.
1962: Off to college! Following graduation from college, where
he studied agriculture and entomology, and completion of military
duties, he was employed as a commercial pilot until 1975. He then
joined (bought into), what he refers to as the family business (Best),
and has been happy performing pest control services ever since.
He enjoys what he does, and he gets paid for doing it!
For The Record: He is a great cook and baker, a very accomplished
oil painter, the luckiest fly fisherman in Missouri, an expert marksman
(pistol and rifle), a member of the Entomological Society of America,
and a Life Member of the National Registry Of Who's Who.
He resides with his wife, the former Carol Lynn Vest, three cats,
Eastwood, Colby, and Sanborn,
and a house filled with love and over 10,000 books.
Both Mom and Dad like to read.
